New Mods

First up I got the goodies, LG Pro Longtube Headers w/o cats for a nice price, i waited until i felt they would go no lower and jumped on it. I could have gone with one of the other brands as 1 7/8 but i like the torque of the LGs. Next up was an intake, that was obvious, Vararam. I also picked up a Throttle body spacer, its not going to reduce HP so why not. I couldnt make up my mind on catback, I want it LOUD, like Bullets loud, but crazy enough there is once and a while where i like it not as loud, so that answer was simple - cutouts, ive had the idea for cutouts and seeing many before me actually do it only made me want to do it more. once i had everything at my house i began designing

on the car

time to cut the LG

ready to weld

i tapped the wiring into the accessory outlet, and made my own switch panel, the wires go through the carpet and out the ebrake grommit

all welded and mocked up

after install

Before install i printed a jake skull, made a template and sprayed it onto the Vararam with a compe grey spray paint

I swapped my thermostat for a 160*, i was quick so i lost maybe a gallon of coolant, i also added a bottle of water wetter

header install
spark plugs

02 sensor

i was able to slip the stock manifolds out with the car just on a 3inch wooden ramp i made, took the 02 sensors out with vice grips

h-pipe, wasnt the first time it was out so it was sinchy

time for fun,

no turning back

Spark plug sleeves were also recomended:

All finished

and covers back on...

in all heres the break down, the cutouts took about 6 hours to fabricate from design to welding to wiring. the vararam was tricky cause of the spacer but went in in 3 hours, i had the headers in in 5 hours taking my time with breaks working in a tiny garage, i didnt even have to lift the car off the ramps to my surprice. i did have help on both days, it did make things alot easier. the thermostat took about 20 minutes, adding water took longer. car started up first try, at first i didnt get a CEL but it came on after 10 minutes, the car made a ton of smoke as you can tell in the video, it also didnt help that it was 32 degrees and snowing! I havent had the chance to drive yet, we just had 6in of snow fall, as soon as the roads are clear im going in for a performance tune. move video of this on the streets coming soon but i did throw this together after the install initial startup and recheck:
Want it loud?
