Had the car out today. Have had it for a year, and made some mods last year. One of which I don`t think I would do again. But anyway, I don`t, and haven`t from the beginning liked the shifter. Knobby, and the throws are a bit long. Looking at the Callaway, or B&M. Whoever has either, please give me the feed back, has anyone driven both? Better?? This will be my next mod. Thanx,, Lenny
I would recommend you consider MGW. I do not have one but have been following the threads. Do a search and you'll find numerous reviews. It has gotten the best customer reviews of any shifter I've seen.

MGW on order. This is the one you want! $204 shipped. You will have to call MGW direct to order as their website www.mgwltd.com will not let you order online. Like others have said, do a search here on the forum.

I too, am a convert to the MGW congregation! I called the OEM a "slop n' throw"....the MGW is much more precise and fun to shift. The service from George at MGW is second to none.
Whatever you get, make sure it has adjustable stops...
The extra effort required to shift with a short-shifter will typically cause you to overshift. Overshifting will damage your transmission in the long run. Adjustable stops will stop your shift and keep you from overshifting.
Seems like MGW is becoming the defacto shifter on this forum. I have one and while I haven't had others on the C6 the MGW is stellar and feels perfect. I have had other cars with short shifters and this is the best I have ever had.
George is also setting the standard on after the sale service. Their have been at least 2 revisions to the design since it was introduced and he has made all the revs available to the buyers without charge and in some cases automatically without request. Do a search for MGW and see for yourself why this is the shifter to get.
I have a Callaway short shifter and can highly recommend it. When I was researching shifters here I found many complaints of rattling with some shifters. Callaway was the one exception. Never a single rattling complaint from anyone who had one.
The Callaway is very high quality, easy to install and you have the option of using the OEM ****.
It's one of my favorite mods.

George knows more about this than you do. The Tremec trannies in Corvettes have INTERNAL stops. George is aware of damage from mis-adjusted shifter stops, but never from LACK of stops.
Trust George, he is the guy for Corvette Forum shifter customers.
