Just noticed that the right front side marker lamp on my 2008 Corvette is loose. It appears that the front wheelhouse liner must be removed to gain access to it. My question is, how do you remove the plastic retainers used to secure the liner? I have a set of manuals but haven't been able to find the answer.
Pry up the little center tab with a small screwdriver. Might be easier with one on each side. It just pops up maybe 3/8 inch. That will release it so you can then just pull the whole pin out.

Thanks in advance for you help.

I could be wrong but I think the SM is held in with a spring clip and doesn't require going in backside.

A right angle pick and a V groove tool works well for all types of push pins on the Vette.
