MGW Replacement Center Shaft Installed
About two weeks ago I installed a 30% MGW shifter. I was very pleased with the increased precision in shifting. Two days ago I received a package from MGW that included a replacement center shaft. The new one is designed for better side to side movement and better resistance to heat issues with racing applications. I didn't look forward to pulling the center console again, but decided it had to be done. Today I installed the improved center shaft. The job took just a little over an hour to complete and I found that lessons learned from the fist console removal really helped out. The procedure is very straightforward with good written instructions provided. After a test drive I can say without doubt that MGW has taken a great product and made it even better. Super precise shifting with no rattles or noise whatsoever. A great mod for the money. The original shifter is in the mail back to Georgia as requested.
