VANITY Mirror Problem--Common????
I know it is a minor issue but it P---s me off 
. I have just over 38,000 on the car (but do have the 100,000 GMAC warranty.
I have used the mirror about 10 times (opening and closing) and I opened each to clean and both were snapped off at the hinge. I examined the hinge and it is pretty flimsy.
Has anyone else had this problem? MY car hgas the opener feature built into the visor and I would hate to have to replace the whole thing (only to maybe have it happen again.
Thoughts?

It's worth bumping your thread once before getting upset at everyone. Sometimes threads get lost in the shuffle.
I really don't ever use mine, however, by good timing my 6 year old was in the passenger seat the other day looking around. He asked "what's behind the door?" (meaning the mirror) and so we opened it. It didn't break, but it squeaked something terrible and certainly felt cheap and flimsy. That is probably the first or maybe second time it has been opened in 3+ years. I can only hope that they could replace the cover without having the swap out the entire visor. That said, it appears you are under warranty so no big deal if they do.
