Well, I installed mine today. Directions were well written and easy to follow. Shifter quality is high. Very well made. Now for the rest -- It is noisier than the stock shifter. Getting into reverse is ALOT harder than stock. Hope this changes over time. Shifts are clean and quick though. I am not happy about the "reverse issue". I'll give it a week and then make a decision about whether the reinstall the stock shifter.

I think you'll be happy with the way it shifts after some break-in time. It feels much different now then when I 1st installed it. I was like you and didn't honestly much like the increased effort to reverse and 1st gear, but it's got alot better.
Don't remove it till you've given it a good test period. you can always resell it on the boards for nearly what you paid if your still not happy a few weeks later. FYI I've put about 1000 miles on the new shifter.
