I'm getting tired of hearing about the "base C6." Does anyone on the forum actually own a "base C6?" I think that would be a C6 without one single option - including the Z51 option. Maybe that's a rare C6? I'm just curious.
I'm sure many people have them, and there is nothing wrong with that. The DSvettes car started life as a base C6...not a single option. Of course, thats not the case with that car anymore, lol...now it has just about EVERYTHING!
Bowmanized...your car is sooo simple that it looks SICK!!! Awesome ride man...just awesome. Cant put my finger on it but something about it just says "Dont even think about it"

Thanks Bro,
I actually wanted the C6 Base edition. My last car was fully loaded '05 and this one is so much better. It's like a different car. Mostly because of the tranny and lack of SC now.
When I was shopping for a new one, I knew the brakes and suspension were gone. I upgraded to the Dewitts rad with EOC. Plus I like the longer gears 447rwtq.
All the options add weight, and when you are going to replace the seats anyway there is no point.
If you're leaving the car stock, I do like the Z51 package however.
The only thing I wish I had was the bose speakers.
The thing I love about the Z is the body kit and the aluminum sub-frame.
Everyone wants different things which is why it's great they have so many options. I was seriously contemplating getting a Z, since most of my customers are Z guys, but even with the lower prices the losses I was going to take weren't worth it. For that price I could get a carbon fiber world challenge body kit and a 454 stroker. It's fun building your own C6. Plus eventually this will be a full blown race car and the steel chassis is favorable when using a roll cage setup.

Base 1LT with $750 yellow paint option and I had the dealer install chrome wheels for invoice price of the option...about $1400. I didn't know about this forum or the vendor dealers so I bought locally. Here in Oklahoma, the only Vettes on the lot are 2LT and 3LT automatics and an occasional 1LT manual. For me there is no way I will willingly purchase an automatic in a performance car and I coudn't afford a Z06. Besides, nicer seats and HUD are all I wish I had and I can't stand Bose.
