What a Difference
My son came down form college today, I had not told him about my new Vette. So of course I had to take him for a ride. He has been in my 06 A6 many times so he was use to the performance. But what is a total surprise to both of use just how much more power my 08 has. I just hit the 500 mile mark so it was time to really jump on it.
So we head for the highway. Hang a right to enter the highway wait to get it straighten up and punch it. From a roll in first it does not feel that much different, maybe pulls a bit harder. Shift into second and all hell breaks loose, rear end is jumping out to the left, keep my foot in it, counter steer slightly, car straightens up and we are flying again. It is a new feeling doing 50moh and have the rearend step out like that.
I almost don't care what the roads where like provided they weren't wet but this is something my A6 would never do. It is going to be very interesting how this car will act at the strip.
