Clutch could use a little more feedback, a bit more heft to it.
Seats, i mean come on this is a sports car...at least offer it as an option. i find it sad when far less expensive cars have superior seats and no the 2lt/3lt upgraded seats are not the answer im looking for. I'll admit the seats are ok for cruising which is what i figure the majority of the buyer pool does with the car, but how about those of us who like to push hard and have to end up propping our knee on the door to hold ourselves. Stereo is also a joke...how about a quality setup (had to take care of that aftermarket wise for my 07). Agree with the post above, clutch is way too light.
I wish gm would offer non-runflat tires as an upgrade along with the other performance options. I do realize that this is something that can be changed with out too much of a hassel, but then again so are most of the things on here that people say they would like to see changed. Some would say that gm could upgrade the interior for not much higher of sticker price and also add an upgraded nav system and blue tooth. When you start doing a lot of little changes the price is going to go up quick. Besides the bottom line is that no matter what gm does people are going to change the car to make it more personal anyway, so i say what the factory does, for the price it does it at, is fantastic. But thats just me.
From: The Great Pacific Northwest...........I carry a gun cause a cops too heavy.
The one and only thing I dislike is that there is no way to switch the auto headlights off. I'm tried of the zeon lights flashing on every time I start the car, I know I can fiddle with the switch but I want the DRLs on and if you cancal the auto on lights the DRLs are also canceled.
I'm planning to fool the sensor with resistors soon, then the few times I want the headlights on I can simply turn them on.
The interior is fine. However, the interior's materials are too fragile.
Here is a photo of my car's internal driver's door puller with a 1 inch scuff/scratch that cannot be removed. This photo is not very good but illustrates the issue - on an ebony interior this 1 inch scuff does not come off. I have seen cars with less than 6-months with many scuffs/scratches looking old.
P.S. - this problem is readily visible on ebony interiors, perhaps not so visible in light gray/beige interiors.
The interior, specifically the seats. They could have done a much better job on it without significantly raising the cost of the car. They assumed that every purchaser would be an 80 year old that needed more easy of entry than many owners would like. I'd prefer optional, more "sporty" seats. And, certainly better materials and construction.
While I'm actually happy with my seats, I did sit in a newer GTO and those seats were awesome.
The Nav and Bose system seem better suited for a Mustang than our Corvettes. We need kickin' surround sound and a navigation system that can be used on the fly with free updates via the internet
Sorry, but I don't agree with those that say for how much the car cost we should be happy...that is pure .
It's embarrassing to explain why your $50k+ car is making all types of noises!!! The 400HP do not offset that!!!!!
I remember going to lunch with a co worker who asked me about all the creaking noises and then said his car don't make any noises and cost half as much ! NO I didn't bring up the performance/value thing as he could care less.
Here is my list! Sorry couldn't keep it to one thing!
1. Creaking top
2. Rattles (door and sometimes dashboard)
3. Creaking B-Pillars
4. Should offer a Nav with 6 CD/MP3 capability.
All cars from all manufacturers have their issues - if they fixed something someone would complain about something else.
This thread reads like the car is a POS. It's not. [/QUOTE]
I agree that you cannot please every single owner even if the car was perfect.
When you lump all of the complaints into categories, you'll notice these complaints are a few minor imperfections that would cost GM very little to correct and I believe if GM did charge more for the car, we would happily pay the increased cost to have it up to snuff.
The Corvette is a great car, hell, it's the flag ship of American sports cars let alone Chevrolets, it'll never be a POS.
A lot of this stuff really should make them money. Especially stuff that doesn't costs much for development like offering, say, Recaro seats, BBS wheels and a quality audio system as options.
They already offer some wheels and exhaust options as dealer-installed items, and that might be the best way to do some of the less common options.

i agree with that, as long as they would be factory-installed, not dealer installed. Factory vetted add-ons are fine. This is why I am reluctant to buy after-market add-ons, which were not factory vetted.

I don't think this thread makes our cars sound like crap...IMHO, it's just the contrary. Most posts start out by saying "What GREAT cars we have, BUT ___ annoys me". There's probably a reason why higher end autos like Mercedes, Jaguar, and Porsche have lower customer satisfaction and reliability ratings and brands like Kia and Hyundai are at the tops of these lists. Customers that pay more...expect more. If my kids' Hyundai Accent top creaked, I'd probably ignore it. But I expect a little better from the American Icon Sports Car. Just my .02.
