Congrats on the new ride! I picked up my 06 used at a local dealer, so I didn't have the "Waiting Anxiety" that you all had. But the time between my first test drive and my decision to buy was fairly traumatic. Hang in there...it will be worth it!
Thanks guys!!!! We didn't make it to Detroit until 2:00 this morning. The storms yesterday delayed our flights. We live in Birmingham now but we work in construction so we move every 1.5 years or so.
We're being picked up around 2:00 pm to go get our car. We'll post pics ASAP. Thanks for all the well wishes y'all
Been busy at work today...but we made it home at about 12:30 yesterday. Y'all were right, as soon as we got to the dealership it was like we never had to wait at all.
Here are some pics (bc I'm sure none of you have seen a stock C6 before)
At the dealership:
We had some time so we stopped in Bowling Green Saturday night and took a couple pics before we drove on that morning.
BAIN pulled the NPP fuse last night, but we haven't driven it since so I'm interested to see what it sounds like.

Felt the same way a few weeks ago when I was getting my Z06. stayed in a hotel the night before so it was rough getting some sleep that night. I opened the doors on the dealership and I was on the road in an hour after that.
It really is like awaiting the birth of a very special first baby. After it arrives, you forget all the pain and anxiety. Eventually, you'll even do it again. Congratulations to you!!!
I have a Tahoe, too. Love Tahoe but Corvette is just too special. The Tahoe is like a comfortable shoe and is roomy and comfy and extremely nice, but just for transportation. Vette, on the other hand, is a driving experience. Your mood just elevates the minute your hand touches the door handle. I can't wipe the smile off my face when I am tooling down the highway. Better than Prozac!!
Your new Corvette child looks just like mine, except for his feet/wheels.

Yes, hopefully we can agree on a new pair of shoes soon. The stock ones just aren't cutting it.
That's too funny...we have a Tahoe too and feel the same way about it. It's comfortable and fancy and really nice but the two just don't compare.
