Default c6 muffler dimensions?

I am going to just order a set of Borlas to weld in place of the stockers on my 05. I'm procrastinating about getting under it and measuring for myself (too damn cold still ). Does anyone have specs on what length and inlet/outlet positions should be for a replacement muffler? Thanks.

Most of the specs of a replacement muffler that works should be available from Magnaflow. The #14336 replaced the stock mufflers well, just cut the stock pipes and weld in the new mufflers and tips, no bends, adapters, reducers or pipe stretching involved. The #14336 are much lighter than stock also.

Cool- thank you very much for the info! I'll just get the measurements for that one and match it up. Was going to go Borla- the last magnaflow exhaust I had used was pretty quiet and I wanted a bit more out of this (my fast cars I try to keep quiet, my slow cars I like to sound fast- go figure lol). Do you have any personal experience with the 14336? How's it sound?

Thanks again.

I've had the #14336 mufflers w/Magnaflow tips for nearly 3 years now. I'm happy with the sound. There is moderate drone from 1300 to 1700RPM under acceleration but it doesn't bother me. The tips you use are important, the stock tips are the most resrictive place on the exhaust system, less than 2.0" O.D. at the muffler outlet. The #14336 are 2.5" in and 2.5" out.

I wasn't aware that the tips were so restrictive. I was going to use the stockers, guess not now . Thanks for the advice!

edit- does your car have a deeper sound or a more exotic sound? I like a more exotic sound.
