i love c6 but afraid will not be able to drive in the winter in MA
do you know any about how 645 will do in the winter compare tp vette?
would you ever consider 645?
I drove a 645 (not in winter)....from what little I have read it is more sophisticated electronically with driving aids to handle inclement weather BUT not to the degree that it would be a significant improvement over another high powered rear wheel drive car.
As others have suggested, unless it's the car you're really hungering for, take part of the difference and buy a winter car.........
My wife drives a BMW 550i with snow tires here during the winter. No problems.
Snow tires are a GREAT equalizer, a Corvette with snow tires would also be just as effective.
I drove a Camaro Z28 (a car typically not known for it's inclement weather prowess) throughout this past winter (a NJ winter by the way) and with four true/dedicated snow tires (not all seasons, REAL high performance snow tires) and the car was UNSTOPPABLE.
I was passing 4x4s and Audi AWDs like they were stuck in the snow.
I would imagine that a Corvette (or a BMW 6 series) with it's high tech TC, AH, ABS and better weight distribution should be even better with tires on it.
Get the Vette.
.........If you consider a Jeep, you would most likely out perform the BMW in bad weather and would own two American icons!
An even better suggestion, I've ALWAYS loved CJs and Wranglers, perfect winter (and summer with the roof off) vehicle, what an awesome compliment one would be to a Corvette.
