I noticed that almost brand new C6s exhibit unusual wear in their internal door pullers (both driver and passenger). The problem are scratches/scuffs developing due to normal use that cannot be removed; they are particularly noticed in dark ebony interiors.
I started a thread a while ago and received many replies confirming the issue. I posted a picture of my car puller problem. Since then I found that other members who had the car longer have a worse problem. A friend offered photos of his 6-month old car and these are good examples of the issue:
If this is a 6-month-old car from someone I know takes very good care of his car, I can only imagine how these parts will look, a couple of years from now.
This is, in my view, completely unacceptable, in any car, let alone a Corvette. Some Vette owners are living with the issue and purchasing after-market wrappers or leather replacement solutions. I think the right answer is for Chevrolet to recognize the problem and come forward with proper replacements. I urge all to contact BG on this.
Several forum vendors make leather covers to solve this issue. They look okay when installed.
Cover-ups are not a solution. Chevrolet makes other (cheaper) cars with far better materials in their door panels. This is a material's defect and should be corrected by the manufacturer. This is most probably a supplier that is producing a sub-standard product and has not been caught by BG yet, in part because owners have not pointe out the problem.
I suspect that Chevrolet has not corrected this precisely because owners have not brought this to their attention and instead decided to cover it up.

This is not acceptable from BG. And cover-ups do not look that great IMO. I would like to see this issue addressed. In my line of work we listen to what our customers say in forums and bulletin board posts and try to take actions to address issues. BG should listen and do the same. Just my $0.02 worth.
All C6 owners with this problem should enter a report at BG's WEBSITE clicking on the yellow Owner Feedback button (you need to enter the last 8 digits of your VIN).
An unknown minimum number of owner reports must be submitted for this issue to cross the interest threshold at BG and get some attention. I'm surprised this was not reported in force before.
I noticed some minor scratches, but I figured that indicated I needed my nails clipped...I expect that's what the General is going to say too if you want your door pulls replaced by a redesigned version.
If they see that everyone is unhappy with this development, they will change future designs...they will not fix the ones already out the door. JMHO.

The people I know with these problems are not slobs... if a piece of plastic gets scuffed with a minor touch, something is very wrong with that part.

Probably, and with this input, they may learn better for the future. They are trying to provide you a soft, textured, inexpensive door pull that still has the strength to deal with a million hard door pulls.
In the meantime, I doubt you're going to get any relief from the General...You and I will have to rely on a short manicure and careful handling when closing the door.
If you are a good customer at the dealer, call in and talk to the service manager and explain the situation. A good service manager has the power to make the call to replace the part.
Well, at least that's how it goes at my dealership..
My driver side door handle looks like a cat is closing the door! We don't need manicures.....we need GM to use better quality material...period. This is complete and again the 400hp engine don't offset the basics of making quality parts for these cars!!!!
Look in your catalogs. MAM has GREAT door handle wraps for $34 that look great. If you don't like it, you are out a few bucks and THEN you can send your whole door panels off to a company that will sew on nice ones for a few HUNDRED $$
I can't believe the things some people get worked up over. Valve springs, rocker arms, ok, those I can see. But door pulls? On a car that would cost two or three times as much from any other manufacturer? Put a cover over 'em and be done.

This is not people getting "worked up" over some nonsense. This is simply ridiculous and unacceptable. Any $10k Korean econobox has better door pullers.
I saw the MAM wrappers and they do not fit properly. Any wrapper in any case is a Band-Aid in a $50k car.
And it's precisely complacency like that, that affords GM this nonsense. The issue is not extra manufacturing cost - it is proper material choice.
But I can relate to the irritation. The interior is easily scuffed & scratched, and sometimes one good pothole shakes something loose that becomes a permanent rattle. It's crazy.
