Gotta disagree with you sir, the TBS does not increase volume. The spacer increases plenum/intake runner length. Air volume is dictacted by engine RPM, incoming air pressure with regards to altitude-ram air-and/or mechanically assisted and the smallest opening incoming air has to pass through.
However, any HP gains are seen at WOT. Therefore, a 1" longer connector hose would accomplish the same result as the 1" spacer.

As you posted which is the TBS increases the TB to plenum length (it does not increase the intake runner length) that means you have more air in your intake. Common sense will tell you that incoming air pressure is increased because of the increase in plenum area due to the TBS.
Strange that you disagree with me yet you post the exact reason why the TBS will work.
Per Vararam instructions (verbal), I installed the intake, ran for a couple hundred miles, then installed the TB spacer. I could feel better throttle response. I was surprised. The rubber spacer comes with metal inserts that go into the bolt holes and prevent the spacer from being overtorqued.
i wanna bring this thread back to life... are there any aluminum ones out there? (posted above)
i did see the Vaaram one and i was looking into it but then i read a couple of horror stories about them too and i dont want to fall victim to that too. i do not have the vaaram intake, would this throttle body spacer still work? Thanks.
