One is the standard manual transmission for 2005-2007 (MM6) the other is the 2008- standard manual transmission (MN6)

Actually I need to make a correction to what I posted above.
The 2005-2007 6 speed manual used RPO MM6 but folks interchange MN6 with it to abbreviate Manual 6 speed. The actual RPO for the Z51 gearing is MZ6.
MN6 is the GM RPO used to list the 4T65E transmission. This is also the new standard RPO for the 2008 and 2009 manual six speed transmission.
