What is the difference between the Goodyear Supercar's that are on my Z51 and the regular F1's that come on the standard suspension cars? Thanks.

My CTS-V had F1 Supercars. They stuck like glue but wore out in 6,000miles. The tires on my F55 coupe don't stick as well, but are still in good shape after 10,000 miles.

Softness of the rubber. Supercar tires are softer, thus wear out faster.

The regular runflats have 10/32 tread depth to start with and a wear rating of 300. The Supercars have 9/32 to start with and are rated at 220 for wear. Both are speed rated to (Y) which means 186+, which is the highest speed rating available. Supercars are softer to stick better, but wear out faster because of this....a standard tradeoff of performance for treadwear.

The Supercars also don't handle as well in the rain and especially the cold.

about 10,000 miles and a lot of $$$. A nice tire, but utterly worthless for a DD car, unless you have money falling out of your pockets.

.....but, considering how "BAD" the economy is supposed to be, I'm amazed at how many people I see who do seem to have $ falling out of everywhere!
