Wow. Filled up at a station I don't normally go to and within 10 miles I had a check engine light. Got home, hooked up the scanner, and had the above codes.
Think I'm going to run this tank through, refill from my 'normal' station, and see if they return before I see the dealer. Just wish I didn't have a tankful of this crap now.
But bad gas will and it has happened to people before. If it isn't an inconvenience I'd probably siphon it out. Please don't use your mouth though, I've heard a story or two about people who did though and it didn't end well. But leave enough to get to the gas station lol.
Don't know if you've been following here about a lot of these codes showing up in Texas for some reason. One of the members is doing a gas test for BG. The only thing that seems to work consistently, at least down there, is Chevron. FWIW. Good luck.

Yeah, Chevron is to gasoline what Mobil 1 is to motor oil. If you can get it....Run It!

I really don't think you can effectively siphon gas out of a C6 anyhow, nor a C5 for that matter due to the dual saddlebag fuel tank configuration...fuel is pumped from one tank to the other in normal operation (as well as during fueling), and siphoning would only remove it from one tank. You could maybe go to 1/2 tank, then fill up then siphon again and have effectively a 1/4 E85 mix in the tank...
I still suspect E85 of the lean codes (heating value less, car injecting g/s based on gasoline heating value A/F tables, which would result in a lean condition on E85 I believe).
Perhaps the wrong stuff was put in the stations u/g tank, but you'd think that would be idiot proof for the tanker driver (yellow cap for E85, etc.).
I checked on the E85. There aren't any stations in my town (Evansville). I think it's just crap gas. I'm going to still try to get half of it out and dilute with good. I bet my Scag will like it.
There is a service bulletin on this issue for the 08s... I have had it 6-7 times in the first 3000 miles.. number of the other forum members have had similar. I went in for warranty work this week, GM still does not have a resolution at this point

You are correct that fuel is pumped from one tank to the other. Fuel is pumped from the right tank to the left and overflows back to the right if you are above half full. Therefore if you start with a full gauge, siphon 8 1/2 gallons from the left tank (leaving 1/2 gallon in the left and 9 in the right), start the engine and let it run a few minutes, stop and siphon another 8 1/2 gallons from the left tank you should be down to 1 gallon left (1/2 in each). When you restart you will pump the remaining 1/2 to the left leaving you 1 gallon to get to the station to refill. If the tank isn't full to start, reduce the amount taken from the second siphoning. i.e. if you are down a quarter to start (13.5 left), siphon 8.5 and 4.
I am the one who did a fuel survey in conjunction with the BG engineers. I have had 7 CEL's in 3400 miles but mine is an '08 and a change to Chevron has eliminated the codes. For '07 vettes I got only 4 responses and no CEL's running Shell, Chevron and some BP fuels. The codes on the '08 are fuel related in BG's opinion and earlier models seem to be bad fuel or the gas cap based on my survey. Run your regular fuel and you should be okay unless its a gas cap issue.
