Default Air bag jack for roadside flat repair?

For those of you running non-runflats, is anyone carrying an air bag jack for roadside flat repair? I've tried various low profile jacks but they all seem to be pretty bulky, and if your car is lowered AND you have a flat, many of them won't work anyways. A small air bag jack with a small high-pressure CO2 bottle seems like it might be a nice solution.

I got to thinking about this because the guy that comes and changes my tires uses an air bag jack. Worked slick as all get out, and no worries about jacking pucks or damaging the rockers.

Oh, and for those of you running runflats who want to have the old "why don't you just use runflats?" discussion, that thread is down the hall.

We used air bags in the fire service vehicle rescue. Of course they were major heavy duty but they could lift a loaded truck. Yes I'm sure someone could design a small one to lift the corner of a car and operated by a car battery powered compressor. You certainly wouldn't have to worry whether the jack would go under the car. Our big ones were barely 2" thick.

I got the smallest bottle that I could find that will fit under the C6. Placed were the pucks go, I place a small piece of hard plastic and raise either front or back wheel. I believe jack is about 8 " and cost under $10. Also carry 19MM socket and a 12" power bar along with a plug kit. I also have a 12 volt compressor. All this garbage fits in the rear wells.

Do you mind telling me where you bought the bottle jack, and whats the tallest it could be to fit under the car?

I got it at National Wholesale Liquidators, a junk store, that are located all over Long Island. It measures 61/2' fully closed and is rated at 2 tons. The 61/2 " allows enough room to insert a piece of phenolic plastic about a inch thick between the top of the bottle and the frame were you normally insert the pucks. My pucks are too thick to use with the jack. If NWL does not have try an auto parts store or Harbor Freight.
