Default windshield reflection

now that we have some sun, I am getting alot of dash cover reflection on the windshield. It is sometimes difficult to see through it when driving into the sun. I do not use and cleaning fluids other then windex. any suggestions on how to tone this down.

The problem is the dash is too glossy. What do you use on it?

Default dash glare

I bought an oversize mouse pad that is black on the reverse side, then i sprayed it with flat black spraypaint to dull the reflection further...I keep it rolled up on the side of my seat on the floor...cant see it....then pull it out and put it on dash when needed to completely stop the glare
