The weather finally warmed up enough that I could install my dash letters. I wasn't sure I was going to like them, but after taping them in place, I decided they accented the otherwise plain side of the dash.
Looks good. Same ones I have just install myself. I also was waiting for it to hit 60 degrees. You must have gotten the from Josh, also. Very good product.
Looks good. I got mine in last week, but have not installed it yet.
I installed the same ones. Be sure and closely follow the instructions and they will stick very well. The KEY is really cleaning the "corvette indent" over and over! Make sure there is nothing left that can cause the letters to lift off. I also recommend letting them set with the masking tape and set for 24 hours before removing the tape. I used a hair dryer to slightly heat the letters up so they were extremely pliable when installing them.... They really look great installed and a total factory look........
RPI has two different dash letters on their web page.
Dash Letters and Passenger Air Bag Letters.
Which one have you got?
Thanks.
That's a good question - I honestly don't know the answer. There's currently a post from RPI Designs on the Forum and I just followed the link. I believe they're normally $59.95 on sale for $39.95. I previously ordered the bumper letters from Josh and they look great. I noticed the dash letters are about half of the thickness of the bumper letters.
Mike....It is sometimes hard to tell from pictures how the letters sit in relation to the depth of the dash impression. Do these letters sit within the impression, or at least flush with the dash? Or do they stick out higher than flush such that a towel would catch on them if you were wiping down the glovebox? The website says they are 1/16" thick, and the dash impression is inconsistent but pretty much 1/16"-3/32" deep. I have been searching for something that stays flush or less within the dash impression (without being those cheap vinyl letters that don't stick to anything but glass).
