I used a clay bar on my AO this weekend and this is unreal how that makes the paint look. followed up with a coat of Zano. it looks like a different car. Also I used the clay on the polished aluminum wheels and it makde them shine better than new!
What did you use with the clay bar to keep it wet?
If the bar doesn't come with a spray a simple solution of dish soap and water works also. My 03 Dodge Ram had terrible "rail dust" which is fine metal particles from the train it was shipped on. They embed in the still soft fresh factory paint and were nearly impossible to remove safely.
I used Zaino claybar on it and it worked perfectly...paint was as smooth as glass when I was done.
If you use the clay bar, are you stripping all the wax off? I unfortunately had to clay bar out a huge mark on my car (about a 15 inch rub mark from the work parking lot) and wondered if I should reapply some zaino in the area.

Ooohh, my fav color! As soon as I bought mine at the local dealer, he had an AO in the lot. No regrets, but that color is sweet! Black prob wasn't a good choice for a semi-DD.
Sorry, but the clay bar treatment would seem to have a dark side to it.
I use it occasionally, but it is a bit aggressive. I suggest you use it if it akes off the surface stuff so well, what's it doing to your paint? Or, more importantly perhaps, what about your clear coat.
Frankly - and I know I am going to take some heat on this - IMHO there is no need for clay unless you keep your car under a lot of trees or wax it only once a year. I really do think while this stuff has a place - irt is somewhat overrated.

Disagree, was a head painter for GM for 13 years, you would have to do a lot of clay baring before it would even begin to wear on your clear coat. Your doing something terribly wrong if your wearing it down. Plus, I would hope people are smart enough to know, you use the clay bar when it is needed, not just for the sake of it.
AO = atomic orange, I used a quick detailer to keep the clay wet and to lube the paint. kept it wet at all times. sorry about no pictures. I have not figured how to do that yet!
