A bit spendy, but 3M Professional Fomula swirl mark remover has provided me with the best results for any painted surface. One for dark colored vehicles and one for light colored vehicles.
Anyone ever heard of or tried Quixx Scratch Remover?

I asked this exact same question last week and was directed to a Porter Cable 7473 and Menzona scratch and swirl remover as a spot fix and for the entire car to really give it a show car look. Autogeek.com has a nice package on sale for $169 with the PC pads and liquid. Check out Scott the BugMan's web site for the full skinny on scratches and swirls.

No...the 3M product is billed as a hand OR machine use product. I always have applies it by hand. Also, as a reminder, this removes any wax, so you must re-wax the area treated

I used that on my Infiniti just this weekend and it worked very very well. I had a roof shingle come off in high winds and land right on my hood and put some pretty deep scratches in it. The deepest scratches are still there but they are through the paint. The Quixx system made those less noticeable and removed all of the light scratches.
Doing the wet sanding is not for the faint of heart, I tried it and initially it left a discolored scuff mark area where it was done but after 2x treatment of the polish and wax it looked much better. Just be very careful with the wet sanding and only use that as a last last resort.
