Tried placing an order. You only accept paypal? I'd rather pay by cc, money order, cashiers check, personal check.

Default Side Vent Screens

Hi Neal

Welcome to the Forum. To install the side vent screens do you have to remove the wheels?

Thanks,
Srebbie

I'd like to report my experience with the grille and side screens. First, they arrived Monday. The box was intact and undamaged. The instructions were all there and the contents were in good condition. I installed them all that evening after work. The front grill was fairly simple to install. It would not stay in place by itself, and I had to secure it with cable ties at the top of the grill in the center and on the sides. It comes with 2 small cable ties holding the ends of the rubber edge border down. I should have left them on, because while trying to wedge it into the nose opening, the border slipped off and was a pain to thread back on just right. Once I affixed the top of the mesh grill to the plastic OE grill behind it, it was easy to shape it in the right place. The side screens were pretty straightforward and the instructions were clear. I did not have to remove the wheels, I just turned them all the way to the side being installed at the time. Unfortunately, it got dark by the time I got into the first side screen, but I stubbornly persevered with the other side in the garage with poor lighting. The edges of the side screens were a somewhat sharp and I cut my fingers once when I grabbed it wrong inside the fender while sticking the tape to the sides. All in all, though, I think they turned out very well and were well worth the $54.00 for the whole set. Here are some pictures of the final results:

I hope this helps.

Mark

Can you paint the screens a different color--Like Black? Do you have any pics?
