Ok ,who got the best gas mileage going and from the C/5,C/6 Bash this year ? I'll start it off. I got 31 mpg in my stock 05 auto coupe not using the cruz control ! A/C was off also.

On the way up to the Bash I got 29.1 mpg. I used the cruise control some but not the whole time. On the way home I got 28.2 but you know we needed to get around a few 18 wheelers...
I don't know how you guys are getting low 30 mpg...i drove from W.Va to Toronto and while driving the speed limit(mostly) and in 6th most of the way, my 2005 C6 MN6 was only getting 26-27. Maybe i need more mods

I was prob 25 or so on the way down...... having a little fun.... coming home I took my time... around 26-27...... the LS3 doesnt do as well as my LS2 did.....
Holy cow! I thoughtI did well at 27.4. 1,100 miles round trip Bowling Green to Michigan. Air on, cruise on, 93 octane top tier Shell, hilly terrain, 2 people in car, warm but not hot weather, mostly 75 mph except for wimpy Ohio where I cruised at 69 mph.
I drove to and from BG for two days. I think that I drove about 450 miles and I averaged exactly 27 mpg. It would have been better but I got stuck in a few traffic jams and had to make up for lost time after.

1,760 more miles until I get home, and not likely to get better than 25 mpg at the speed I intend to be at going over the Rockies and down thru the canyons in Utah.
Laid over in Evansville, Indiana last night to have dinner with cousins. In Abilene, Kansas tonite.
Had some rain in St. Louis this morning, but looks like the sunshine is following me back home, as usual.
The bigrig truckers decided today that my new handle is Bumblebee, due to the Millennium Yellow firestick CB antenna mounted to my butt.
Westbound with strong tailwinds forecast for tomorrow.

Went from Fort Hood to Fort Knox and took a 30 minute powernap at the Corvette Museum Saturday night at 1 AM. I saw a bunch of C5s and C6s parked at the hotels, wish I knew about the bash because I would have left Friday night to be there Saturday.
Anyhow, trip stats:
26 MPG average
78 MPH average speed (highway cruising from 85-90)
Car mods: G5X3 Cam, headers, intake, tune, UD pulley, exhaust, TStat
Runs a little richer now with the cam and tune, but still gets good mileage on the higway.
Who Cares? you buy a 50K sportscar and MPG is a topic?
It's actually bragging rights - The exotics can't come close on performance / $$$ and we get decent to great MPG as a bonus Me - I get 23mpg on the road with a 600 HP motor - what exotic can say that

We picked up our new CRM Vert on Wednesday at BG and I was amazed at the mileage. The first two tanks averaged 24mpg including driving around downtown BG, out to the museum a couple times, an evening cruise in the countryside and a break in run to Asheville NC on the back roads (mostly Hwy 70 in TN and the Cherohala Skyway). No cruise, but the A/C was running most of the time. Then from Asheville back to Raleigh on I-40 averaging 70mph with cruise and A/C, we got 30mpg. I keep telling people this is an economy car, but I don't think they really buy it. Something about the initial cost hurdle! They are very surprised at the mileage though. For a little perspective, my last car was a 2001 Lexus IS300 and I am getting about a 50% increase in my mileage.
PS We really love this car! What a piece of automotive sculpture.
