Just think how many times these cars will crunch their front end or high side the center in steep driveways. And how many parking curbs will they hit with the front ends. There might be nothing left of the bottom of the car when it's time for Hertz (Hurts) to get rid of them.

This has been coming up on the site previously. I also noted another car rental company showing Corvettes in their ads. Will need to watch out on the used car market, won't be a good car to buy.

Have driven a Hertz as a rental while the details are being worked out on my Z06/08. Car had no limits. The first one also had bald rear tires; so
they gave me one with new tread. I met one guy at the rental agency in
Miami that had no clue there was a traction control button; or what it was
for. Glad I got to talk to him. Anyway in Miami; no limits.

We have 10 ZHZ's at the DFW airport. Make your reservations now. Call and speak to Ben or Andre. They can get you taken care of.

Not a chance. It was the SHELBY tag and associated heritage thats driving those crazy black/gold Mustang sale prices, *not* the "Hertz" label. There are plenty of Hertz Mustangs (non-Shelby) that sell at below market prices.

The "Zhz" badge means nothing except 'its a rental'.

I THINK TOP POSSIBLE SPEED ON OCEAN DRIVE IS 5 MPH, I HAVE
SEEN PEOPLE GO THROUGH A SET OF REAR TIRES FROM ONE LIGHT
TO ANOTHER THOUGH. OR JUST WHILE SITTING STILL.

I feel sorry for those cars...glad mine has a good home. Buying one used is going to be like finding an abused dog at the pound....very very sad...

I think it's a crappy idea, that I wish Corvette had not stooped to.

Any idiot that has $150 can rent one. That just doesn't seem right.

As far as the market goes. A minor to major inspection will tell if they have been abused. Anyway would anyone on the forum buy a used Hertz Corvette? I sure wouldn't. You know they've been trashed.

You can rent them in Vegas for $135.00/day. Saw them in Feb '08.

sounds like good deal to me.since i live in winter weather state ,and can't drive mine for a few months, maybe i'll just rent one every so often during the summer/fall.............
