Default Status 1100 on my 2009 order..accepted.

I know GM isn't supposed to be accepting 2009 orders until 5/22, but I just got this from my dealer:

Model Year: 2009
Division: Chevrolet
Order Type: SRE-Retail Sold
Model: 1YY67-Corvette Convertible
Current Event: 1100-Preliminary Order Accepted
Priority: 1
PEG: 3LT-3LT Option package
Primary Color: 57U-Cyber Gray Metallic Exterior
Trim: 023-Red-VET/Z06 Ebony & Red Accents
Transmission: MN6-Merchandised TRANS MAN 6 SPD Provisions
Ordered Options: 37T: Gray Convertible
D30: Recommended Color Combo Override
F55: Magnetic Selective Ride Control
NE1: CT/MA/ME/NJ/NY/OR/PA/RI/VT/WA Emissions
QG7: Wheels, 5-spoke Forged Polished Aluminum
NC7: Federal Emissions Override
NPP: Exhaust, Dual Mode Performance
VK3: Front License Plate Bracket*

That's it. I know it's not much, but it's the first concrete thing I've seen. MSRP and Estimated Delivery date are still blank...and will probably stay that way until after GM's official 5/22 order date.

One small step for Corvette, one giant leap for me.

* To be placed in permanent storage.

WooHoo!

Maybe orders can be entered now, but can't have an allocation placed against them to turn them into "real" orders until the 22nd.

15 minutes ago I agreed to a deal for mine with a Forum dealer. No order number or paperwork yet, so you're ahead of me.

1100 means it was accepted by a computer (GM Dealer World system) ONLY. Will not move from that status until dealer has an allocation to back it up. Once that happens the assembly plant then can accept it.....

Good Luck... That is pretty cool none the less

I see the D30 added to the order. I don't believe the 023 interior can be ordered with a convertible. Is that the reason for the D30??

If you have spent much time here on the forum, I am sure you have seen the status codes below. You should have also received an order number, but I do not see that listed. Anyone that places an order goes to status code 1100 right away, but as been said, it does not mean a thing unless the dealer has, and uses, an allocation. When you see status code 200, your on your way. At least you have made the first step and got your order into your dealer. Hope all goes well!!

Order status codes:
1100 = Preliminary Order (Order passed GM edit tables but dealers has not received allocation to place order)
2000 = Accepted By GM (Dealer used allocation to place order into production)
2500 = Preferenced (Order pulled to the production system)
3000 = Accepted By Production Control (Order input into the production system)
3100 = Sequenced (Order sequenced for Production)
3300 = Scheduled For Production (Order is scheduled into the plant build cycle)***
3400 = Broadcast (Order is sent to various build & supplier areas to bring order together)
3800 = Produced (Order is built and VIN# shows in the Dealer Order system now)
4150 = Invoiced (Order is invoiced to the dealer)
4200 = Shipped (Vehicle is shipped to the dealer or point of delivery)
5000 = Delivered To Dealer
6000 = Delivered To Customer

Sad thing is once your car has entered Broadcast and sequenced for production your car has a VIN # but they don't tell you until it is produced, which is stupid.

I don't agree with that. Maybe just your dealer did not tell you. When my status code went to 3800, the VIN number showed up in the dealer system and my salesman emailed me the number. It may not be even a day between codes 3400 and 3800, so what is the need to have the number?

No I mean at 3400 the VIN is available, not to the dealer but the plant has it.

When your car comes out of the paint shop and is in production (during the entire line process) there is already a VIN assigned to it.

3400 should take place 36 hours (plant hours) before 3800 as it takes 36 hours or so for the car to travel thru the plant. That equates to about 4 days.

Hopefully your dealership will get their allocation(s) soon and the wheels will start in motion....nicely equipped.

I can't wait to see your posted pics (hint hint) of the cyber gray with red two tone interior. It sounds great.

Ok, now I'm with ya, but still don't really understand why having the VIN that quick is so important?

No, the red interior is a valid color combo. The gray top is what did it. Cyber Gray only is available with a black top unless you override it. I may change my mind, but I think the lighter top might look better with this color than the standard black one.

Are you getting the red interior or the two tone black/red interior. I think the red interior will look good in this car. It will be like getting a 71-72 Vette in steel cities gray with red interior.

It isn't, just it would be cool to have it that early!

Just the standard red, not the two tone. GM describes it as black with red trim, but that's just how they describe the standard interior.

Sounds good, Stan! Besides allocation, this thing ain't gonna move until production gets scheduled for '09s as you know. And I think that doesn't begin until later this month.
