I like the Amsoil EaO filters. Great filtering and great flow. AND they don't void the warranty.

Using another filter of the same size is not going to void the warranty...

It does not matter. They are all the same.

In fact, how would any of us know anyway? Besides, if you use the wrong one and it blows up, that's just a good excuse to help you talk the significant other into the need to buy a new one.

If GM likes Mobil One oil, I doubt they will ding me for using a Mobil One oil filter.

The first time you cut open a Fram filter and see the shoddy construction of their filters, you'll change your tune. They are by far the most overhyped oil filter out there, and by far the most poorly constructed.

As he said, here comes the hornet's nest (although I agree with you ---whenever I use a FRAM, the oil turns black within a 1,000 miles --- with a WIX, it stays dark golden for 4 or 5K........)

Mobil one, Wix, K&N or the top of the line Delco are all just as good. I bet they are all produced in the same Chinese plant lol
