Default Wheel question..........

Do you think 305s are too wide on a C6 without the wide rear fender kit? My fronts will be 255-35-19.

I just purchased Cray Manta wheels in 19/20 and I'm not sure if 295-30-20 would work better than 305-30-20s. I don't want to add the wide fender kit. I'm leaning toward the 305s because I want the Invos, but I don't want the tires to stick out too much.

My only option in a 295 is Toyo Proxes, which is all season ultra high performance. T1R not available in 295.

Any opinions? 295 or 305?

I'm not sure if 305s will fit with 20'' Mantas but on stock rims I've been told that they fit.

Why wouldnt they fit manatas? The wheel is 20-10.5" ? 315s would probably even fit on 10.5s, but it might look foolish w/o the rear fender kit which i don't want.

305 option will stick out about 0.5" with given off-set.

How about 245/35/19 & 285/30/20? (Toyo or Falken)

I'm sure they'll fit the rim but I thought you were asking if they would fit under the fender. On stock rims most people say 305's will fit in the rear on stock tires.

If you get the offset right, you can put a 325 out back. I am replacing the stock wheels with CCW S500 (18x9.5 and 19x11) with 275's on the front and 325's on the rear with stock fenders.

Hi Andrew,

Someone including myself don't like stick out, at least flush with fender.
In addition, tires may hit the fender if you have a hard hit although the chance is slim.

I definitely do not recommend you 305 with Cray wheel offset (+65mm?), the maximum would be 295. 305 with 30 profile (20") is a little bit tall compared to stock. By the way, I don't see 295/30/20 tires in Toyo list, only 285/30/20

I do have Cray Scorpion wheels (18 & 19) with 255/40/18 and 295/35/19. Nearly flush with fender, but still 0.15" stick out at rear

305/30/19 invos on 11" w/ 79mm offset. The outside lip stick out 13mm more than stock (even w/ fender) 10.5 w/ 56mm offset will be 20mm more than stock (about a 1/4" past the fender) I think it will be fine.

Because they just want to push the 285s because they have a lot of them in stock.

I decided to go with the 295 30 20 in the Toyo. Toyo doesn't make the T1R in 295, so I had to go with the Toyo proxes UHP all season, which is supposed to be a good tire too. I hope I didn't make a mistake. The T1R comes in 305, but they were a lot more money.
