from a Newbie, I'm driving my first Corvette, an 08 LS3, after a life in the "import car biz". At 57 years old, I can believe I missed out on all this fun.
Problem is, front end gets light and steering feel goes away on high speed runs. Car is w/o Z51 package, would love suggestions on how to plant that nose. sway bars, shocks etc?
I don't want to change the body!
Thanks in advance, what a great asset the CF is!

Hey T glad to see you finally on the CF...been waiting for you for a long time. The PFADT coil overs will really help your problem, it did for me. I will let you drive my car so you can see the diffrence...

Light at speed, hmm, WHAT speed? I won't ask where...
I'lll assume the front spoiler is all intact, and that you've had the alignment and tire inflation checked. Also, have you checked the ride height at all four corners? Finally, I'm sure all new shocks of the type suggested by Atomic would improve things, but wait until the above is checked.

Hello AO
I drove this car and it is new all your points are good to double check. What he is feeling is under hard acceleration, the front end feel like its floating or lifting and not connected to the road. I drove it up in BG when we went to the bash and I remember having the same feel.
Thanks for the reply, speeds below and above a C-note, on the way to NCM with a car full of Corvette accessories. Atomic is going to check the items you mentioned on Friday.
Thanks, Atomic and '08. It just strikes me as being really odd that a brand new car needs/requires super shocks. Not that it couldn't, but so far, I think that's the first time I've seen that description of a poor handling situation on here.
Hope it all checks out! Please come back and tell us how/what happened.

I agree...the only time I really noticed the condition was under hard acceleration...it really did have a floating feeling...I will go thru it and make sure everything looks good and get back to you.

I've had my car up to 140mph and it never felt light. This shouldn't be suspension dependent at all, since no C6 should feel floaty at any speed. My guess is that the car is misaligned.
Your dealer should cover alignment of a fairly new car, so I'd get it in soon and have the alignment checked and corrected if necessary.
It is only hard acceleration that I get the feeling to "hold on". Jimmy from Atomic thinks it's the transfer of weight from front "steering wheels" to back. If this is the case, I'm going to have a challenge short of coil over shocks, which I'm not up to.
Thanks for the comment, it's nice to know I'm not alone. I'm going to have alignment and ride height all checked under warranty.
You guys are great!

Reason: typo
More I think about it, that kind of "lift" reminds me of old drag cars with purposely weak front shocks and squatting springs/shocks in the rear. All for weight transfer and extra traction. I wonder...
