?? Removing the lower rear bumper insert??

Posted in C6 Tech, but I didn't get a response. Maybe someone in C6 general can give me some insight?

I'd like to remove the black piece that's below the rear fascia, so I can get it painted.

Whats involved in taking this piece off? I'd like to do it myself if its not to difficult.

Look under there-it's held on by 5 or 6 screws I think.I just read this somewhere!!

haha i was about to ask the same question, does anyone know if the exhaust has to come off to take it off?

Little more to it than that, but still very easy to do at home. I am out of town or I would post the picture from the Service Manual. 3 screws at the lower corner on each side. You have to pull back the inner fenderwell to get to them. Pull out a few of the 2 piece push pins so you can pull back the fenderwell and you can easily get to the 3 screws on each side. I think there are 2 screws or clips in the center. Unplug the wiring for the backup lights and that piece will slide right out.
