Revving it like just sitting there? Like mustang owners do?
Going over 3k for no reason really isn't "good" for it, and it certainly doesn't impress anyone. You have a Corvette, after all... Revving isn't necessary. They know it's fast.
On the flip side, if your doing a launch at the strip or something, you do what you gotta do... Still not good for it, but necessary to get the times.
Fortunately the car has a built-in rev limiter to reduce the chance that you will "grenade" the engine. Try reving past redline on the tach and you will feel the engine momentarily cut-out until the RPM drops below 6500. If you switch the DIC to show instantaneous fuel consumption I think you'll quickly discover that at sustained high RPM your wallet also hates you for reving the Corvette!
