When I shut the drivers door the window indexes about 6 times then stops in the correct position. During the cycling I hear a loud clicking noise. If I lock the door or start the car the cycle stops. I have had indexing issues before and have been able to reset per the manual, no luck this time. Would disconnecting the battery reset the system?????

Condition
Some customers may bring their vehicles into the dealership for a concern relating to the operation of their power windows.

Correction
Diagnose the exterior door handle switch as a possible cause for this condition. If diagnosis confirms the condition is caused by the exterior door handle
switch, replace both driver and passenger switches. Be sure to mark which switch comes from the driver and passenger doors. Parts will be requested
back through the Warranty Parts Center return process.

I had mine done at the dealership. I was in and out in 16 minutes.

 

Wow, to replace both door handle switches in 16 minutes is fast...the bulletin says they give the mechanic .9 hours to do it....
