Is there any way to program a non-export C6 to display the Over Speed Warning? My friend who lives out of the country needs to program it into his C6 and is not sure how. Can he go to a Chevrolet dealer or can he buy a C6 tuner?
I wish we had that on our cars....especially here in PHX/Scottsdale on the loop 101 where 76mph will generate a beautiful photo of you and your car delivered directly to your mailbox :o .
Huh? am I reading this right? Overspeed warning has to do with the Vehicle itself, Engine, Drivetrain etc. not law enforcement. The car can't detect anything. Thats why we all have Radar detectors.
Oh i get it you guys are just messing around.

For example in the GTO's you can set your overspeed warning to chime if you exceed a preset speed i.e. 75mph. The chime will alert you at 76mph to let you know that you have exceeded your "speed" and now you are in the danger zone of speeding. We all know that going 75mph in our cars feels like 45mph .

I absolutely hated the overspeed alarm in my '06 GTO. When I first got the Goat, I set it at 80, thinking "hey, this'll help me keep from getting tickets!" Then after a couple days I realized I live in California and use I-5 every day...
Ironically, the only ticket I ever got in the GTO was for 75 in a 65.
I eventually just set the alarm to the max value (130 MPH) so the only time I might ever see/hear it was at the track.
To the OP, sorry - no idea how to program that in a C6. But he probably needs it to pass registration inspection overseas. Bummer, but good luck. The owners manual doesn't mention this feature; he may need a european-spec BCM to enable the feature maybe...?
