Driving down the road and all of a sudden the airbag light came on in the tach area and it appears my radio **** lights went out at the same time. I had a passenger and I have no idea whether it was talking about hers or mine. Turn the car off at our destination and when I start it up the airbag light is off but the radio ***** still have no back light.

Take about weird happenings. On my 08, sometimes when I put it in park, shut the engine off, get out and close the door, the horn will beep three times. What's up with that?

I think it beeps:
Once to remind you that there is a little orange light in the visor to illuminate your console at night,
once to let you know that the dimmer switch will also control your interior lights,
and then finally, once more to remind you that the owner's manual is in the glove box.
were you standing close to the car for awhile? if so, there's your answer
I just did that a few minutes ago. I closed the door while standing very close to it and the horn beeped like the FOB was still in the car. I just opened the door the second time and closed it..no problem. I'm sure it was because I was very close to the glass with the FOB in my pocket.
No FOB was left in the car. The FOB was in my pocket the entire time. But still three beeps sounded after I closed the door.
Mine does this as well occasionally. It doesn't bother me but one thing I do is make sure I lock the doors with the fob (as opposed to the autolock) just to make sure.

When I open the door for my wife, mine will shirp 3 times before I can walk around to the drivers side, but I'm very close to the car, it acts as if the fob was inside. Is normal.
Today, I 'spearmented a little bit at work before I left the car to go in. I purposely left my left leg out of the car, while sitting sideways in driver's seat, with fob in my left front pocket, and pressed start/acc button -- "NO FOB DETECTED", but a boatload of relay clacking behind the dash. (I do not like hearing that, by the way. Can you say firmware race condition "glitch"?) Pulled fob to top of thigh, still inside pant pocket, leg and body in same position. Pressed the button again: "ACC MODE ON".
Fob detection is easily foiled by body mass, and likewise, if you have a sensitive fob, that is not obscured, it can detect fob for quite a bit of distance away. I am usually about ten feet away when mine autolocks. Any further and I would be concerned - I like the idea of having to be right near the car to have it respond.

I agree. If you're in a close space and only open the door halfway, step out, then close the door while standing right next to the door opening, it might beep 3 times. Mine does. It seems the combination of only a partial door opening and very close proximity to the car makes the car think the FOB might still be in the car. Actually, I'm OK with that because it errs on the side of caution.
