First time posting. Thrilled to say my husband got me an '07 for my birthday! Love it. I have been looking in to the venture shield clear bra product. I'd like to know if any of you have used it, and if anyone in the Milwaukee/Madison area can recommend an installer?

Find a good installer...I had mine done for the third time yesterday....not happy with the end result...again. For $450 just to get the nose done I would not do it again. The product is awsome, I drove up to Bowling Green from Florida and took some good hits from rocks and removed it to have it redone when I got home and no damage to the bumper....but I have black and there are so many flaws it takes away from the perfect paint...I just repainted my car (show quality) so I think I would go with a bra for long trips. I am thinking about taking it off. If it were a lighter color it would probably be OK. From what I am told the installer is key to a good job....good luck.
The installer is everything imo. A few suggestions:
call up the local Corvette club prez and ask where the club members get it done. S/he will tell you the good ones. Then, go look. Don't just take a phone call as being gospel; go look for yourself. May take an hour or a few, but watch and see the end result. Worth every dime of your time, again imo.
next, post this same thread over in the regional section for Wisconsin. may help to get responses.

Try this and ask if they've done C6s, not that that is an absolute must have, but it can't hurt.
Sorry to hear about Atomic's issues. Presume it's the same installer who's done it each time and just can't quite get it right.
Good advise AO...I went to the Venture Shield's web site and picked an installer right off the list!!!! I am really fustrated but, I have to say the guy has really tried to get the job done. He has been very polite and responsive and knows it is not right. I dont want to knock a guy for trying so I would never mention his name. I really think its the level of difficulty of the Z06 nose thats his major problem...just giving him the benifit of the dought here. I warned him prior to starting the job that I was really particular and after the initial attempt I wanted him to cut his losses and move on but he insisted he could get it right.
When I was at Bowling Green I saw some examples and I can say there were some I would not be happy with and some that were good...so the installer is for sure key.
Find somene who had it done right and go with that person and mae sure they will stand by their work if it does not meet your expectations. Also, my installer said that Venture Shield is not totally invisible, so know what your getting before you make the investment
I know of three in Wisconsin. They are in the cities of Brookfield, east of you, Hudson and Chippewa Falls. Number of the guy in Chippewa Falls is 715-491-4600, his name is Adam Resnick of ( Northland Dealer Services.) Hope it helps a little.

I saw your post and that is what make up my mind to go with VS. I wonder if the Silver masks the small bubbles and defects much better? I am also having a problem right at the front of the nose where the VS wraps underneath, it keeps lifting up!!! The last one my guy put on had some small defects and they look like bubbles butthere not...so on black they show up like white dots.

Your jobs looks First Class...
From the cars I have seen with VS installed I would have to say that Silver does the best to help the overall look appear seamless. Obviously if air or water bubbles appear white or a shade of gray on a black car then on Silver they will be better masked.
The VS on my nose (at least the top half above the grill opening) ends right as the bodywork rolls underneath. These reduces tension on the film and unless you lay on your back and look up you cannot tell that the VS does not run all the way back to the grill.
I'm glad you were able to use my post in the decision making process. That was my intent from the beginning.
I have been installing ClearMask for a few years now. I tried Venture Shield before but was having a lot of kits showing up with defects in the material... and I just didnt like the finish. You can contact Jim at ClearMask.com and he can refer you to an installer in your area. A good installer is a must... but you have to start with a good film first.

I think your writeup is practically one of the best complete with pics. I applaud your detailed explanation. If anyone gets tired of it, it's because they don't know that this is not an easy thing to do---or to do correctly.

And btw, Atomic, if that's the case above by Tex. Venom, that might be the issue, too. I've seen so many "clear bras" and as I've said, only one was in bad shape. The fellow was a bit embarrassed by it because it was on a dark blue Vette (LeMans Blue) and it just showed like crazy. I felt sorry for him. In his case, however, it was clearly the material---everything that I could see was put down/on correctly. But the material looked like someone had gone over it with a 3M scrubby (no pun intended, I just don't know who else makes the green, black and blue scrubbies). And it was less than a year old.
