It's kinda like the digital cameras now available. They have a "soundtrack" that makes them sound like a 35mm with motor drive!

I believe these are called...motorcycles. And they get 40-50 mpg.

Tell Bob he's too late - already got mine and based on this thread, I will have it for some time. E85 sounds good but on paper, it will cost us more to drive due to reduced mileage and supply is now and will continue to be an issue. To convert the current distribution systems to handle E85 will involve a major capital investment - who's going to pay for that? us!

Enjoy the ride while you can!

Great thread by the OP.
I believe the HP wars will be coming to an end very soon.
This is why I can't understand some who say they can't wait for the C7 to arrive.
Carefull what you ask for................it may not be what you expect.
I for one will be very happy to hold on to my C6 if the future of the V8 is not bright.

Maybe.

I'm betting and hoping on the future of hydrogen to replace much of our carbon based economy over the next decades:

http://www.amazon.com/Hydrogen-Age-E...0798206&sr=8-4

The transition to H2 fuel cells will be eased with cellulosic EtOH and plug-in hybrids.

My electric car will have the optional 1KW/channel, surround sound exhaust option.
Programmable for F-16, Ferrari, or Hardley V-Twin sound!
Hydrogen is not an energy source, but an energy carrier because it takes a great deal of energy to extract it from water. The question is where will the energy needed to extract hydrogen come from? Without a HUGE energy source to extract it, hydrogen will remain a dream. If we built hundreds of nuclear power plants, the electricity generated could be used to extract hydrogen.

Corvette has a ways to go. They haven't even tapped the displacement on demand. I am not not sure why they went to a 6.2 liter and only picked up 30hp. To me it seems like there is a little sandbagging going on on both the HP and the MPG

What about that new Tesla sports car? I personally think it is pretty impressive... just over priced out the ***.
Definitely a tep in the right direction though.

I would love to see hundreds of nuclear plants in operation, but where are all the spent fuel rods going to go?

It hasn't happened in decades and it won't be happening anytime soon without new and 'greenie' acceptable nuclear solutions.

Our slot machines at Harrahs are now all pay by ticket.

When you cash out, the machine plays a soundtrack that sound like coins falling into the tray at the bottom...

REAL things are slowly becoming parodies of themselves. Hope the Vette stays real ,, like a Harley! andy NOLa
