I have a friend who has the 2008 Base C6 Coupe with 18" front and 19" rear wheels. He would like to go to aftermarket rims but was told that the rear wheels are offset approxiamtely 70 degrees and the fronts are offset between 30 and 40 degrees, thus requiring a 3 piece wheel to get clearance. Is this true?
My friend thinks this information is wrong and has seen chrome wheels of the factory standard 2008 which is the 10-split spoke.
Your friend has been given some bad advice. Wheel offset is typically measured in milimeters, not degrees. The wheel offset for OEM size wheels on a C6 is:
C6 non Z06
Front 18 x 8.5, +56 mm offset
Rear 19 x 10, +79 mm offset
The bolt pattern should be 5x120mm
There are plenty of aftermarket wheels available that will fit the car and are not three piece wheels.

The only thing to add here is to be sure to tell your friend that the LOWER the offset number, the further the wheel is going to stick out into the wheelwell........The standard offset for the rear is 79MM. If he buys a wheel with a 65MM offset the wheels are going to stick out further.......
