First problem

Not a big thing just that I had a check gas cap light go on and when I did sure enough the gas cap was loose.When I tried to put it on it would just click before it would turn to lock. I am just going to buy a new gas cap rather than have to leave it at the dealer for a day. Anybody else have this problem?

This was an issue with '05, and some with '06 and '07. I haven't heard about '08 yet.

I have an 07 and just the other day I got the same message. Checked the cap and sure enough it was loose. I just put it back on and went on my way. Thats the first time it happened since I got the car in Sept of 06. I'm hoping the guy who pumped the gas just didn't tighten it.

Just went out an bought a new one instead of taking it to the dealer.It went for about 18 bucks. Cheap insurance against dealer damage.[dd]

Just get the dealer to provide one under warranty and don't let the dealer tech touch the car.

There was a solution elsewhwere on the forum. WD-40. I sprayed a little on my finger and rubbed it on the gasket. It takes a few start ups for the message to go away but no problems for months.
