I've been wondering, is there any way to have some kind of video source connected to the Nav so a camera can be used, or doe's the stock Nav have an input for that ?
I wanted to install a front and rear camera so I'll be able to see when parking. I'm sure like others we all want to see how close we come to parking stumps or curbs while pulling into places.
I hate the sound of the plastic scraping PERIOD, no matter where it
is or for any reason.
So if anyone know please let me know.
Thanks to all Forum members, as I've gotten great advice ever since I joined.
The nav does not have an external input. There is a company in New York that will take your stock radio, open it up and solder a video in connector to the circuit board. It takes a few days to complete the turnaround. Once that comes back you will have a factory nav (warranty gone) with a pigtail that will allow you to plug in an external video source.
Thanks for the info, but don't want to really do anything that will void a warrenty.
You'll never know when you'll need it, but maybe an additional mini monitor 3"x3" custom placed in the console area for viewing front / rear end will work. It defenitly has to look good / Trick otherwise it'll be a Jerry-riged and can't have that, can we.
I know there's a few places out there who sell those monitors, so if I do this mod, I'll post it for others to see. Hopefully it will be a do-er for all.
Who knows.
