Default Clear bra pricing question

I have priced this option with 3M, Venture Shield and Llumar installers in my area (suburban NYC) and was surprised by the price...

for the standard Corvette setup (bumper, lower air dam, partial hood and mirrors) it ranges from $800-$1100.

If this is the going rate, so be it but it sure seems more expensive than I anticipated...

I appreciate your insights.

Those quotes are in the ballpark for a standard application. I've seen pricing in the 500-700 range in other places like up here in the NW so I wouldn't be to put off. Just make sure that the place doing the install is experienced and stands behind their work. If you find a place doing it cheap that's what you may get.

Go to you regional corvette forum section and ask the guys in there where they had theirs done and how it turned out for them. Even if it costs a little more than you had planned if the job is done right it is worth it.

I dropped the partial hood/fenders and came in just under $500.

Just had the Venture Shield installed on my 08 last week. Bumper, partial hood and mirrors was $695.00.

I got one quote for $600, and then just got one from a Venture Shield installer for $750. These guys are on crack IMO, it's a glorified window tint install. They see the Vette and see $$ signs. That exact kit online cost $300, which is full retail. I know can be tedious but $450 for labor is silly.

I went with Autobahnd in NJ. The whole package, incl. partial hood, mirrors, etc was $695. They did a great job and I watched the guy apply it - he's a master. Over one year later and I still have to point it out to most people. Best $$ I've spent. I drive it into NYC as much as 2-3x per week from NJ.

Venture Shield: bumper, headlights, foglights, mirrors, fender (trailing edge only) for 500.00. Flawless install.

This is what I was quoted locally by a very experienced 3m installer for my 09 coupe:

The 24" Hood, Fenders, Mirrors is $450

The Full Bumper is $550

The Rocker Panels are $495

So, the total would be $1495

For everything above, Larry would like the car for 7-8 hours,

A lot of loot to be sure, but very labor intensive.

The time it takes to install it properly is at least 5 hours. Seems pretty reasonable to me.

I used them too and was very pleased but they closed up a month after I used them.

Default 3M Instaleer in NJ

I can recommend a good installer in Northern NJ. 3m certified and has done many corvettes.

You can send me a PM if interested in his contact info.
