Greatest Towels
Since I'm always complaining about towels my buddy brought me this towel from a VERY big resort in Florida, I just used it on my C6, man oh man is it nice, soft as can be, super absorbent, and I'm sure is all cotton,( it rinkles easy) better than the one I got from Mother's that cost me $15. I love it, I know where Im spending a weekend soon!!
Microfiber towels are the way to go. Old fashioned towels, even those offering 100% cotton can have polyester ribbing and designs which will trash that finish. Send him a couple of these, and you'll be in high regards also.

Seriously, I've always been very selective about towels, and I've nothing but good results with 100% cotton towels, I've had 2 black cars, 3 red ones and several motorcycles mostly dark colors, everyone always complements me on my cars (97 F150 153K miles looks new still)I've never had problems with paint finishes due to towles, maybe because I'm so persistent with the wax, never seen the light scratches some forum members have complaint about. maybe just lucky, I have one of them micro towels from Mothers, I honestly don't like it, as my father always tells me, if it works, stick with it.JMO

Right after rinsing the car, I use several thick and thirsty all cotton towels. They soak up the majority of the heavy water drops. Then I bring in the microfiber towels to finish drying the finish. Works great.
