Just wondering
Just wanted to ask. I'm getting ready to paint my valve covers and was wondering whats the best paint to use on them ?
Some have said, " use the paint that matches the car "
well that's for certain, but can I just get it from the dealer (Touch up spray paint) or do I need to get a heat proof type paint that will match the closest ?
Also what about those trick round/flat dip sticks, I've seen here on the forum, where can I find them ?

I went to an automotive paint supply store and had the exterior matching color put in an aerosol can. I also purchased primer and clear coat. I did not like the clear, would have come out better if I had sprayed with my compressor, but saved the cost of the reducer and other chemicals.
Cost me about $45.00 total,
