Installing my new boot from DSV (this is not a problem due to them, just something I personally did), I had no problems initially. The boot seemed to move somewhat when I first installed it when I moved the brake from not-set to set, but I expected that the first few days from what I read on here. The second day though, it all of a sudden "gave." On inspection, I noticed that the piece of the bracket that goes down into the indention (not the part the metal clip is on, but the other part below it) broke! I have JB Weld"ed" it for time being, but have not put it back on the car. I am afraid of it breaking again. I think I had the e-brake boot too far up on the handle and caused the bracket the boot is glued on to too much stress when it was in use. My question is this: do you think it will just break again due to just being held on with the JB Weld and I should attempt to get the new boot off the bracket and transfer it to the bracket my stock boot is on, or just let it be? Thanks!
