With the rising price of gas and stories in the news about gas thefts can anyone help in supplying the name of a vendor that offers one for the C6? One that would not trigger any messages in the DIC. Asking because the remote operated lid door can easily be pried open.
Thanks, Ken
Stant should make one. But if someone is going to pry open the locked fuel door, a locking cap is not going to stop them. Although it might slow them down...

If they go to that trouble, it isn't rocket science to pry off a gas cap - just cause a bit more damage is all.
I try to avoid situations where gas theft with the Corvette would be a problem. Even with a full tank I THINK they would only be able to get 8 gallons because of the split tank/2 tanks. I think the fuel is transfered by a pump. I could be wrong on this.

Reason: sp.
Drilling holes and draining fuel out of plastic fuel tanks is quite the rage these days . . .there have been a few reports in the Phoenix area of less than desireable results when drilling into metal tanks - - -those pesky sparks, ya know....
Pick-ups and SUV's are most popular because of larger fuel capacities and a raised platform that's easier to get underneath . . . .
I thought most cars today have metal screens in the filler neck to stop being able to siphon out the gas. This leaves the tank drilling method that CQRT had mentioned.
