07 with Paddle Shift

I have a 2007 with the paddle shift. When I shift I can see the gear change on the heads up display, but not on the drivers info center on the dash (just stays in D). Is this normal or should the dash light change as i shift also. Dealer says this is normal....I'm not so sure.

Try different modes on the hud. It will always display on one or the other.

The only time I see the gear selection in my DIC is when the HUD is showing navigation directions. When the nav directions are no longer shown in the HUD, then the gear selection reverts back to the HUD. Also note that the only time the gear selection is shown in either the HUD or DIC is when the paddles have been selected in the "S" mode.
