torch red. I would have bought it instead of VY, as much as I love VY. Victory red?? Come one, my Suburban was Victory Red, my pickup is VIctory Red. THe GM cost accountants must have had to much inventory of truck red paint and made Bowling Green use it up.

Torch Red doesn't look good on the C6. Too many sharp, angular lines. I've seen pics of the one Torch Red C6 they did make and I didn't care for it.

I much prefer the victory red, the torch red has a bit too much orange tint for me. Victory red seems like a much more true red to me.

I had an 02 Torch Red coupe, and now have an 08 Crystal Red metallic coupe. Personally I think the Crystal Red rocks. I liked the torch red at the time, but the orange hue didn't look too good in certain light conditions (bright sunshine, primarily). FWIW, my girlfriend hated the Torch Red (she said it looked very redneck) - she loves the Crystal Red - says it looks much classier. Not that that is a reason to go with it - but it certainly makes my life easier!

Unless they are side by side, I can't tell the difference. They both look great to me.

The name says it all "VICTORY" red. I don't know that either would be a bad choice. All I know is people rant about my Victory Red 07 when it is all shined up and pretty (which is always).

My preference would be Torch Red, but then I never buy red Corvettes!

Torch Red as it existed on the C4 and C5 won't likely be making a comeback. The controversy over the color switch for the C6 launch was quite an agonizing decision. Victory red was the compromise color that came out to bring back a bright red for the C6. Here are a couple of photos of the one and only Torch red C6 that was produced.
