Default storage containers

I am looking for a "drop-in" container to fit in each of the two storage boxes in the trunk of my C6 convertible? A simple device just to ensure that I put any liquids in them, and they leaked, that they would be constrained by the drop-in container? A sleeve so to speak.

I like to carry 2 gallons of milk in there to keep them from sliding all over the compartment area.

I have a drop in leather bag for the left side(smaller) big enough for a six pack. Can't remember where I got it, but I'll repost when I find it, if you want.
Haven't found anything for the right side or that is hard sided.

At one of the Vette shows I attended last year, I saw where a guy had molded plastic that he had apparently melted together and wrapped it with duct tape. He had very cold beer in it that he wrapped with newspaper for insulation.

Just an observation, I hope it might spur an idea.

Do you know how hot that those below the floor storage areas get? I would not want to even carry anything perishable in there on the way home from the store.......those areas can get in the 125 degree + range very easily on a hot day...... See this thread for more information:

I put my wash supplies in one of those big plastic zip-lock freezer bags before stowing in the cubbies.

Cut down a gallon milk jug and cover the sharp edges with duct tape for a temporary solution. It should slide right into the compartment.

Or measure the compartment and go to WM or any department store and try to find a Rubbermaid or Sterlite plastic container that might fit the cubby. Check the wife's Tupperware drawer; you might get lucky.

I use the gallon zip-lock bag like the other poster. Quick, easy and disposable, and leak-proof.

Today (after taking something out of the very hot rear storage bins) I got back inot my car and took the fob and I Pod out of the center console. Its been very hot in NY so I had shorts on. I laid the key fob and I Pod on my bare leg and still have a red spot on my leg from the burn!!! I can't believe how hot and metal stuff in there gets, especailly the I Pod. I was storing my cell phone, I Pod, keys and other stuff in there but will not any more. The heat is not good for this stuff. Hell, even a pack of cigerettes put in there is going to go bad quick, Nice to have these hot storage areas in my new car!!!
