For the last year I have used a Covercraft Noah cover. The car was always dirty afther it rained.A friend of mine had the Weathersheild HD cover and said his car was always spotless.I bought the HD cover for 393 bucks and afther the first rain the car had water spots on it.The Noah never had water spots, just dirt.My question is would it be ok to use both covers, one over the other without harming the paint? Thanks
Hmm, good question. After awhile, you're putting a lot of layers of fabric on top of the paint and not allowing the air to circulate or moisture to evaporate. It has to have moisture.
I think that might not be such a good idea, especially if it's longterm. Then again, maybe it's no different than parking the car in the shade in the tropics.

I have a cheapy wolf $100. and the car is not dirty when it rains I do get some small water spots on the front nose, mine is under a car port, but $495. and you get spots, I use it to keep the construction dust off that seems to be everywhere in south Florida, does a good job.
i use a cover that is 100% cotton but without the flannel on the inside, just cotton and that acts like a T-shirt, especially when it rains-I live in Clearwater, FL and its now just getting into the rainy season so i have some experience with this-and I have found that the basic car covers just made out of cotton fabric will let the water pass thru it but when the sun comes back out, it will dry the cover completely(if u leave it on long enough for it to dry) and there will very little, if any, water spots at all. You may have to do a little wiping here or there but overall, the car will be almost ready to show, or go-whichever! You really dont need all these fancy covers and different multi-layer covers but just a good cotton based fabric, preferrably without the flannel is all you need. They usually run in the price range of $120-150 or so.
Good Luck-
