Whats a decent code reader to pick up and can they cancel out all the codes once they've been viewed?

There are many available. I picked up mine (don't even remember the brand) on Amazon.com for about 70 bucks. They can also be had at Wally World and Autozone among other places. Just be sure to get a OBDII CAN Bus enabled reader.

I use a Scangauge....Lots of other data available as well as code reading and clearing..
I used to have it mounted here:
I'd offer up a Web link, but the moderators would probably moderate it.
Use your imagination..

Here is a link to a company that is fairly popular. I think the 65.99 one is the most popular:

My Diablosport Predator serves this function, but it was quite a bit more than $70.

I have the Innova 3110 and am happy with it. Make sure what ever one you get it will work with C.A.N. protocol. (Controller Area Network)

Do these all clear codes also after they've been read?

What kind of money do you have to spend to get something that will read GM BCM codes? Everything listed here is only good for ECM/PCM codes? The dashboard readouts in the C5 are sorely missed.
