What's messed up is that the only people that seem to notice the lack of the front are Z06 owners. When I had my 08, I was at a car show and was hanging with a bunch of other Corvette owners. Every single one of them thought the car was a Z06. Solidified me not doing the front. If a bunch of Corvette guys can't tell that it's not a Z06 that means that they don't even notice the wider front on the Z and I just can't see the point in doing it for what it costs. There are actually downsides to a widebody such as people thinking it is the slowest Z06 ever on the drag strip.

Yes Sir! It's the brakes (15" Brembos) that are driving the wheels (CCWC140s, 18X11 and 18/19X12 or 13) that necessitated the rear fenders (rather than tubbing). I could do the 14" Brembos, but the price and weight difference isn't much more for the 15". I also like the fact that the front 18X11 will support at least 295s.

If you are running Z replicas on the track then you are nuts. I guess it depends on your level of "tracking" but I had always assumed you were an avid racer. I would be scared to death to dedicate a replica on the track. I've seen stock wheels fail. If I was running around in circles like you guys do I would most definetely have something more "confortable" like a Forgeline.

Replicas are fine for the track. I've been running Sport Edition (tire rack brand replica) wheels on track cars for years.

Maybe your opinion on what looks good is just that your opinion. Not sure why you're putting thought into this anyway, to each his own.
